today's update...

Leonard seemed to have a small 'something' dangling between his hind legs today, which is somewhat noticeable in a few of his photos. Is this definitive proof that Donkey friend is, in fact, a boy?

Gloomy Day

It's very gloomy today, with a slight drizzle. It didn't have much effect on our friends though. All 3 L's were walking around. Laura looked a little dirty, maybe she was rolling around in the mud yesterday.

And here they are, the first exclusive photos of Larry and Laura. I stopped by this afternoon to get some pictures. Laura was happy, she came over towards the fence. I had to leave in a hurry though, so didn't get too many pics.

The Arrival

As you can see, people were coming in by the bus load to see Larry and Laura. There was so much traffic, they had police on the scene to help direct it.

I counted 6 firetrucks, but I arrived late. There were also several police cars, marked and unmarked. It was an exciting event!

New Neighbors

After the scare from yesterday, with the arrival of the trailer, we can all breathe easy now. The trailer was indeed making a delivery, of two beautiful horses. One as white as snow, and the other as brown as brown. They were located in the furthest area from the donkey, leaving the middle area still vacant. Both were just hanging out, eating the grass this morning. Maybe the spring will bring even more friends. Hopefully they all get to hang out together too. And hopefully the pictures will start rolling in soon.

Kev pokes the donkey & the donkey says hello

We stopped by to say hello to Leonard today. He was eating dried leaves, which seem to be his favorite. Kevin gave him a quick poke in the side with a stick...

And after a brief stare-down, our favorite donkey actually came over to say hello!
